3. Have you used Off-framework nursing agency staff in the last 4 months at Public Health Wales , Cardiff?
4. How much was your Off-Framework agency spend for each of the following staff groups between December 2021 –March 2022 (a) Theatre Scrub/Recovery/ Anaesthetic nurse (b) Midwifery (c) Chemotherapy Nurse
5. Following the same breakdown of staff groups in Question 3, how many Off-framework shifts have been unfilled between December 2021 –March 2022?

Thank you for your recent request dated 11th April 2022. We have answered your questions below, as Public Health Wales. However, we feel that your request would be better directed to the Local Health Boards where the majority of nurses are employed.

1.(a) Who is the head of procurement at Public Health Wales , Cardiff responsible for approving Nursing agency usage?
There is no one specific person as staff maybe recruited for specific departments and specific role.
(b) Secondly, who is the temporary / flexible staffing lead responsible for the management of this service at Public Health Wales , Cardiff?
We do not have a specific team responsible for agency nurse recruitment as they do in a Health Board as there is not the requirement
